Breaking Out

Why the title “Other Peoples Mondays”?

So much has happened in my life, so many challenges. I have always wanted to write and the title of my book has always been “Other People’s Mondays” It somehow symbolises my life – Challenges have been a way of life and when there is peace and calm it is hard to relax and enjoy it as there is always the feeling that the carpet is going to be pulled out underneath you

It is bizarre probably to say that I have been privileged to experience so many “Mondays” it is because of them that I am starting this blog – the gain in terms of strength, endurance and tolerance cannot be calculated. So many people dream of documenting their lives so that they count and exist in the broader space and never do it. I have been one of them for many years however TODAY I am breaking out.

“There are two different kinds of people in the world. There are people who instinctively look for every chance to be a “victim” and those who look for every chance to rise above—regardless of where they are in life and what’s happening around them” ― Christopher Hawke

I am a survivor – I was born surviving and will die surviving. On my tombstone I want either : “Had fun- left too early” or “Totally used up”, important to me is that there are people there who can honestly say that I have had a positive influence on their lives and that is my epitaph.

70th birthday
I am surrounded by people who appreciate my zest for life – my 70th birthday picture!

So now having reached my three score and ten it is time to RE-INVENT myself again, and I am using my blog to find people who wish to join me on this fantastic exciting journey where no-one know where it will end.
